Michael "Mike" Willard LaFave

Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son passed away unexpectedly at his home in Saginaw on Sunday, January 14^th, 2024, at the age of 70. Mike was born on August 29^th, 1953, to Willard LaFave and the late Betty (Renner) LaFave, in Saginaw, Michigan, and attended Bridgeport High School. He was the owner and operator of LaFave Saw Service, building and maintaining saws for logging companies for over 24 years. Mike met Ann Richmond while out with some friends and the couple would soon marry, spending over 25 years together. She survives him. In his free time, Mike was an outdoorsman at heart, spending much of his time hunting and fishing. He also loved watching NASCAR and football. Mike is remembered as being a loving and caring man with a big heart who was goofy at times and always had a joke. He would do anything for anyone and was always there for his family and friends.

Mike is survived by wife Ann LaFave; daughters Beth (Darby) Wright and Shannon (Prenethis) Williams; grandchildren Bailey (Tyler Childs) Wright, Brady Wright, Blair Wright, Tiana LaFave, Carter LaFave, Brielle Dickens, Zachary Konesko, and Hailey Konesko; father Willard LaFave; brother Matthew LaFave; and special uncle Clayton LaFave; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by mother Betty LaFave, brother Mark LaFave, and sister Michelle LaFave.

In accordance with Mike’s wishes, cremation is to take place, with a memorial service to be held at 3:00pm on Friday, January 19^th, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Hwy, Saginaw, MI 48601, with Rev. Jim Doran presiding. Visitation will take place from 12:00pm until the time of service.
