Clayton, Michael O. Saginaw, MI Passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare, the result of a sudden and traumatic stroke. Michael was born December 24, 1942 the son of the late Orin "Tye" and Virginia (Swiecicki) Clayton. Mike attended Sacred Heart High School. He went on to play basketball at Aquinas College and for the U. S. Army, where he proudly served as an M.P. He then obtained an MBA from Central Michigan University. Embarking on a 30 year career with General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear, Mike gathered and maintained treasured friendships from every corner of his life. Mike was an avid golfer, proudly making a hole-in-one during his time on the links. He relished being with the Tuesday night golf league at Twin Oaks. His claim to fame, though, was his knowledge and love of music. Roy, Del and Buddy have gained their biggest fan. He was an incredibly kind and generous person. He loved his friends, he loved his family and is equally loved in return. We will miss him very, very much. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue Clayton; their children, Kelly Kubiak Norman and spouse, Eric Norman, Annie Clayton Weinstein, Katie Keilitz and spouse, Brad Keilitz, Molly Fisher and spouse, James Fisher. Left to cherish the memory of their incredible Papa are Sydney and Drew Kubiak, Jake and Lucy Weinstein, Madeline, Abigail, Sofia and Benjamin Keilitz, Penelope and Eloise Fisher; his brother, Tim Clayton and spouse, Janet; a niece and many nephews. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A. Memorial Service will take place 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn with a celebration of his life to follow.
