Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. She was 53 years old. Michelle Lee Mayle was born on June 23, 1970, in Cadillac, Michigan, to Darrell L. Mayle and the late Lila Mae Frost. She graduated with the class of 1988, from Bridgeport High School. The role of her lifetime, and the one she treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted mother to her five children and a dedicated and loyal grandmother. Michelle attended Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene. Her little piece of heaven was being at one with nature, whether it was watching breathtaking sunsets or spending time on the beach, her personality was like the sun, bright, optimistic, and a light for other people. Michelle also enjoyed tending to her flowers and watching storms. She had an amazing sense of humor and was able to make anyone laugh. Michelle had an inquisitive and curious spirit, always seeking to grasp, understand, and learn new things. She was adventurous, loved road trips, and going to garage sales. Michelle loved her children, however, when the grandchildren came along, her heart felt full and complete. Throughout her life, music held a special place in her heart. She cherished and memorialized her loved ones through her many tattoos. Michelle spent countless hours singing and dancing with her children and grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her love of family and animals, especially her cat, Chloe and two dogs, Ashley and Ozzy; for always looking at the bright side of things by remaining an optimist, for truly being an amazing woman that loved deeply with her whole heart, and for living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.
Surviving are five children: Lacey (Nathaniel) Goodrich of Pompano Beach, FL; Tyler Mayle of Saginaw; Shelley (Chad) Galarno of Cape Coral, FL; Jacob (Kelsey) Mayle of Saginaw; Christopher (Maria) Westphal of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren: Silas Mayle, Levi Galarno, Daria Mayle, and baby Galarno on the way; father and stepmother, Darrell (Brenda) Mayle of Saginaw; sister, Heidi Mayle of Zilwaukee; brother-in-law, David Antal of Saginaw; two stepbrothers: David Lindow of Mt. Pleasant; Jay (Jennifer) Campbell of New Lothrop; four nieces and nephews: Cody Frost, Courtney Frost, Jarrod (Savannah) Griffus, and Morganne Antal; and a significant other, Scott Ducharme of Kochville Township. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Lila Mae (Jim) Frost; sister and best friend, Tammy Antal; stepmother, Patricia Mayle; grandparents: Elizbeth and Adolph Kruley, Derwood and Jean Mayle.
A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene, 1815 Tittabawassee Road. Rev. Nathan Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
