Mildred D. Pretzer

Pretzer, Mildred D. Frankenmuth, Michigan Formerly of Hemlock, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 97 years. Mildred D. Beyersdorf was born March 6, 1920, in Richland Township, the daughter of the late William and Edna (Schoof) Beyersdorf. She married Ervin W. Pretzer May 31, 1941; he predeceased her February 5, 2005. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock. She had been a choir member at the church and a member of its quilting group. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and baking, and also enjoyed flowers and watching birds. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Pretzer, Frankenmuth; Sandra and Robert DeLong, Wyandotte; three grandchildren, Derek (Jennifer OMeara) DeLong, Dearborn; Nathan DeLong, Westland; Sarah (Chad) Plumlee, Frankenmuth; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Charlotte and Quinn; many nieces, nephews, and their families; her brother-in-law, Ralph Rowe. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Adeline Neuenfeldt, Elder Beyersdorf, Connie Ellis, Ruella Suhan, Addison Beyersdorf, Iola Minto, Doris Schafer, Nina Rowe, Chester Beyersdorf, Lorraine Wardin, and Evelyn Pretzer; and by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Road, Hemlock. Rev. Paul Hauser will officiate. Private committal will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and then at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
