Mildred Laura McInnis

Mildred Laura McInnis (Millie) Thomas Township, Michigan Passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Francis Home. Age 87 years. She was born October 8, 1926 in Pigeon, Michigan, the daughter of the late Laura Schultz. Millie married Edward F. McInnis, August 13, 1949. He passed away March 4, 1987. She had been employed by Michigan Bell Telephone. She was a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, an accomplished seamstress, liked to crochet and read, and was an avid sports fan, particularly basketball, baseball, the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers. Surviving are six children and their spouses, David E. and Linda McInnis, Saginaw, MI; Debra and Charles Dill, Charlotte, NC; Robert McInnis, Arlington, TX; Julie and Frank Keating; John and Michelle McInnis; Edward K. and Janet McInnis, all of Saginaw, MI; 12 grandchildren, Brian McInnis and Molly Adkins; Mark McInnis; Keith and Katie McInnis; Allison Dill and Steve Moore; Jennifer Dill; James Keating; Michael Keating; Joseph Keating; Brittany McInnis; Jason McInnis; Ryan McInnis; Jessie McInnis; 2 great granddaughters, Olivia and Nevaeh McInnis; a sister, Lois Hagerl; a sister-in-law, Maryln Schultz; many nieces and nephews. Seven brothers and two sisters have predeceased her. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. David Parsch will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday where a vigil service will take place at 7:00 pm. Friends may then call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
