Mildred Myrtle Walls

Walls, Mildred Myrtle Midland, Michigan Passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Brittany Manor, Midland, MI, age 95 years. Mildred was born in Hemlock, Michigan March 15, 1918 the daughter of the late Anna (Pretzer) and Henry Fiting. She attended Iva Lutheran School and Hemlock High School. She married Wilbur Harris July 22, 1938 and he predeceased her. She married Orlie Walls January 14, 1961 and he predeceased her in November of 2002. Mildred worked at Hemlock Duck Farm, Lufkin Rule, Dow Corning and Midland Hospital. Mildred was always a hard worker, loved her home, family and cats. She enjoyed playing cards, camping and traveling. Mildred is survived by two children, James (Sondra) Harris, Hemlock, MI and Doug Harris, Midland, MI; her grandchildren, Steven and Scott Harris, Shelly (James) Gagliardi and Jerry Harris; her great-grandchildren, Mathew Harris, Marsha Fendley and Amber (Gary) Burton; great-great-grandchildren, Dray Fendley, Dominic, Bethanie and Jayden Harris, Harlie Burton. She was predeceased by a son, David Harris. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at W. L. Case & Company, Merrill chapel. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial in Richland Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 4:00- 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
