Mitchell Gary Fournier, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born on August 20, 1959, in Durand, Michigan, to Marcia Kay (Mack) Fournier and the late Charles Gary Fournier.

Mitchell graduated from Durand High School in 1977 before pursuing his education at Central Michigan University, from which he graduated in 1981. He carved out a successful career working for Durolast Roofing and Jack's Fruit Market on Bay Rd., where he was known for his unwavering positivity and dedication.

A true family man, Mitchell cherished spending time with his loved ones. His spirit and enthusiasm for life were infectious, and he lived by the motto, "Life is an attitude." Mitchell was an avid sports fan, particularly passionate about watching the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Lions. He enjoyed playing pickleball with his wife every day. He also enjoyed engaging in hobbies such as tennis and chess, always eager to challenge himself and others.

Traveling brought immense joy to Mitchell, and he recently embarked on a Caribbean cruise with his wife and his brothers and sisters-in-law, creating wonderful memories that his family will cherish forever.

Mitchell is survived by his devoted wife, Terri Fournier. Mitchell and Terri were united in marriage on September 28, 1985. He leaves to cherish his memory, their children, Ryan (Veronica) Fournier, Tyler (Caitlin Boyd) Fournier, and Karlie (Ian) Losee; grandchildren, Liberty Schneider, Presley Fournier, River Fournier, Parker Losee, and Zoe Losee; his mother, Marcia Fournier; and his brothers, Todd (Lyn) Fournier and Derek (Lisa) Fournier. He also leaves behind three nieces and one nephew, Kristin (Jordan) Ulfig, Mallory (Josh Defoe) Marienfeld, Brittany (Robert) Potter, and Justin (Angela) Fournier; and his sister-in-law, Denise Miller and her children Jacob and Matthew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Fournier.

Mitchell's legacy of positivity and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His family will continue to honor his memory by living life with the same enthusiasm and positivity that he exemplified.

Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd,, Saginaw, MI 48603, where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Timothy Behnke will officiate the service with interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
