Monroe Patrick Nugent, Sr., of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 23, 2020. Monroe Patrick Nugent was born on December 28, 1953, the last of three children born to the late James H. and Eloise Francis (Quick) Nugent, Sr. He married the love of his life, Lynn Marie Darter on December 5, 1996; she survives him. Monroe was the proud owner and operator of Absolute Forklift Repair for 16 years. He had a special place in his heart for dogs, especially his Chow-Chows: Tieko, Traveler, Taz, and Shadow. Above all he loved and cherished his family and he will forever be remembered for his wisdom, loving and giving heart, and for the passion he shared through his opinions.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Lynn Nugent of Saginaw; three sons and one daughter: Monroe Nugent, Jr.; Joseph (Lisa) Nugent of Saginaw; Timothy (Rina) Nugent of Saginaw; Cassondra (Brett) Eaton of Saginaw; three grandchildren: Lauren Nugent; Tristan Nugent; Braiden Nugent; brother, James H. (Michelle) Nugent of Saginaw; good friends: Archie and Jan McClure of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sheran (Joe) Schultz of St. Louis.
