Nancy L. Antal, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on January 22, 2024, in her hometown of Saginaw, Michigan. She was born on November 10, 1940, in Saginaw to Marvin L. Allore and Dorothy Della (Hollis) Allore.
Nancy was a remarkable individual who dedicated her life to caring for others through her nursing career and community service. After graduating from Saginaw High School in 1958, she pursued her passion for nursing by attending St. Mary’s School of Nursing from 1958 to 1961, where she earned her RN degree.
For an impressive forty years, Nancy worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital. Her commitment to her profession and genuine compassion for patients were evident in every interaction she had. Nancy's colleagues and patients alike respected and admired her for the exceptional care she provided throughout her career.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Nancy was a devoted volunteer and active member of various organizations in the community. She selflessly served as the Parish Nurse and supported the prayer ministry at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Furthermore, Nancy volunteered her time for the Community Prescription Support Program, Kempton School, and the St. Mary Hospital of Michigan Auxiliary.
Nancy was a valued member of the Saginaw County League of Catholic Women. Through this organization, she found great joy in coming together with others who shared her faith and commitment to charitable works.
Family meant everything to Nancy, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones. She is survived by her children Kathy (Joel) Dezelah, Joseph (Colleen) Antal, Karen Antal, and David Antal; grandchildren Zachary Dezelah, Brett Dezelah, Morganne Antal, and Jarrod Griffus; her brother Jerry Allore; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Marilyn Antal, Mary (William) Gosen, Louise (Gerald) Young, and Richard Antal.
