Nancy Jean Lavrack-Linton of Chesaning, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare. She was 73 years old. Nancy Jean Quackenbush was born on February 25, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Bryan Jay and Elizabeth Duncan (McBain) Quackenbush. She was a proud 1967 graduate of Birch Run High School. Nancy was employed with Covenant HealthCare as a CNA, retiring in 2004 after 30 years of loyal and dedicated service. She married Larry Linton on November 1, 1997; he preceded her in death on November 13, 2011. Nancy was a faithful and longtime member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. She excelled at motherhood and was the foundation of her family. Above all, Nancy enjoyed traveling and treasured and cherished the time she spent with her family.

Surviving are three daughters whom she had with her former spouse and friend, Richard Lavrack; Julie (Warren) Thomas, Rebecca (Melvin Jr) Stroik, Jennifer (Damion) Richardson; 10 grandchildren: Brianna Janay, Brianna Jean, Joseph, Warren Jr., Lucas, Lucille, and Alexa, Alayna, Noah, and Ava Richardson; one great-granddaughter, Mariana; two sisters: Jerilyn (Brian) Lutz and Gail (Thomas) Renner; special friends, Shirlene Goode and Carrie Askew. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. Kareem Bowen will officiate. Honoring Nancy’s wishes cremation will follow the service. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
