Martha (Dennis) O'Connor of Chino Valley AZ., Mary Lou Korting of Santa Clara CA., and Agnes Benson of Powell, TN. She was preceded in death by three siblings; Theodore Korting of Yuba City, CA., William Korting of Saginaw MI, and Sandy Matteson of Clio, MI. Nancy was born to the late Theodore William Korting and Theresa Theodata (Petoskey) Korting, the eighth of ten children, at St. Mary's Hospital of Saginaw on October 4, 1946 at 10:25 AM. Nancy lived her entire life in the Saginaw area, spending the last 46 years at the same address in James Township. The Rev. Richard Seifferly married Nancy and Bob Pufahl on November 20, 1965 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Nancy was a devout Catholic who attended SS Peter and Paul Catholic School from the 1st through the 12th grade, graduating in 1964. It had a lasting effect on the way she lived her life. She practiced her religion every day and was an example to others. She was a quiet, modest and humble person. She was a hard worker. Nancy worked at Draper Chevrolet before marriage and at the McDonald's Restaurant in Shields for 27 years. Nancy had big green eyes, natural red hair and lots of freckles. She was very loving and giving. She loved her family and home. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds, crocheting afghans, singing, popcorn, and mowing the lawn. She did not like to wear nail polish, dresses, skirts, or shorts. Nor did she like to travel. She showered and did her hair and makeup every day. She kept a clean house. She always wore black but her favorite color was yellow. She told me many years ago "every time I sneeze for the rest of my life I am going to tell you I love you". Nancy was the love of my life and I say to you now Nancy Lee, "Ich liebe Dich". The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2013, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N.
