Nicole S. Corbin

Nicole Corbin of Burt, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at her home at the age of 50 years. Nicole was born on April 27, 1973, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Sandra and Kevin (Iwen) Leaman and the late Robert Stamper. She was employed as a CNA and care assistant with Liberty Nursing Home and Covenant Hospital for many years. The role of her lifetime, one she treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Nicole was a faithful, devoted, and longtime member of Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church. On June 30, 2001, she was united in marriage to Philip Corbin; he survives her. Nicole was extremely creative and enjoyed using her hands to create all types of crafts. An exceptional baker, she made the best chocolate, fudge, or any dessert you could imagine. Nicole knew love was the secret ingredient to make all her desserts taste amazing. She will forever be remembered for her innate ability to communicate with all people, for being an amazing listener who selflessly desired to help others solve problems, for lighting up the room with her beautiful laugh and wonderful sense of humor, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving besides her husband, Philip, are four children: Brandon (Amanda) Stamper; Nicholas Stamper, Alexis Stamper, and Katelynn Corbin; four grandchildren: Aza Stamper, Eden Stamper, Josiah Stamper, Ezra Stamper, parents: Sandra and Kevin Leaman; two brothers: Robert (Nihcole) Stamper and Joel Leaman; mother-in-law, Margaret Taylor; father-in-law, Robert Corbin; and lifelong friend, Michelle Fowler. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Stamper; grandparents, Ralph and Janet Iwen; father-in-law, Gary Taylor.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church, 7877 Bell Road, Birch Run. Her stepfather, Pastor Kevin Leaman will officiate. Burial will follow at Cook Cemetery.
