NOLA E. RADKA Saginaw, Michigan Rejoice in His Salvation as our Lord lifts her through the gates of Heaven. She died in The Lord on Monday, February 6, 2017, age 90 years. The daughter of the late Arthur P. and Mary C. Beatenhead was born on July 21, 1926 in Unionville, Michigan. On September 8, 1945 she married Clifford H. Radka from Rogers City, Michigan, who predeceased on April 19, 2005. Cliff and Nola started their own Kitchen and Bath business in 1956, Radka's, Inc. Their slogan was "In the Foothills of Apple Mt." They enjoyed selling new Kitchens and Baths to many homes in the Tri-City area. They were very active in the Midland and Saginaw Home Builders and enjoyed the growth of many new homes. She was active in the beginning of the new facilities for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Valley Lutheran High School. In 1979, Cliff and Nola were one of the three founding families who started St. Mark Lutheran Church on the corner of Miller and River Roads, Saginaw. She was their first Treasurer and was on the St. Mark new building committee. She helped coordinate the new facility and Stain Glass Windows. She used her talents in many areas working for the Lord. In her spare time she enjoyed her friends in a good game of golf, a good hand in Bridge and reading a good book. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Paul W. Radka, Mark C. Radka, Susan M. Radka and her husband, Kim Gaeth, two precious grandchildren, Leah Marie Gaeth and Charles Radka Gaeth. Her brothers Laurence and Loren Beatenhead have predeceased her. The funeral "Victory Service" will take place at 12:00 Noon Saturday, February 11, 2017 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 N. Miller Road, Saginaw. Rev. Edward A. Meyer will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum, Saginaw. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
