Nona Ann Weir

Weir, Nona Ann (Dammann) Saginaw, Michigan Nona Ann Weir, age 87, passed away suddenly on July 28, 2017. She was born on January 21, 1930, to the late Ernest and Alma (Wedding) Dammann of Zilwaukee. Nona graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1948. On April 19, 1952, she married Gerald M. Weir; he predeceased her on April 11, 1999. Nona worked for Michigan National Bank and for the medical practices of Dr. Ed Galsterer, Dr. John Galsterer, Drs. Heavenrich, Jarvi, Mason and Rank and Dr. E. George Galsterer. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She cherished spending time with her family and friends. She loved to entertain, travel, attend community theater, read, golf, shop, play rummy cube, spend time at the family cabin and make special Christmas cookies for family and friends. Surviving are her children: Dr. James (Susan) Weir, Lori (Thomas) Weir Drinan, her grandchildren: Dr. Jared R. (Crystal) Weir, Dr. Alec J. (Jane) Weir, MacKenzie W. Drinan, Thomas James "TJ" Drinan, her great-grandchildren: Christian, Eleanor, and Hudson Weir, her brother Ernest (Beverly) Dammann, sister-in-law: Patricia Dammann and many special nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Nona was predeceased by her brother Robert Dammann. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. On Friday, August 4, 2017, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss. Rev. Charles Buckhahn will officiate with burial at Cook Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
