Norma Irene Kocsis

Kocsis, Norma Irene Merrill, MI Passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Norma Irene Miller was born on November 27, 1930 in Saginaw County to the late Roy and Gladys (Swarthout) Miller. She married Louis Kocsis on January 17, 1948, and he predeceased her on February 28, 2014. Norma worked for Dow Corning Medical retiring in 1986. She was a member of Merrill Congregational Church. She enjoyed painting, dancing, quilting and baking for her grandchildren. Norma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Mary Anne Kocsis ; two grandchildren, Stacey Kocsis and Nicole (Chad) Fleming; five great-grandchildren and their spouses, Falena (Kevin) Chavez, DeAndre (Shauna) Kocsis, Olivia, Zoe, and Caden Fleming; two great, great-grandchildren, Devin and Neymar; two step-grandchildren, Eric Camehl and Anne Marie (Ira) Burke; One sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Lawrence Miller; several other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathryn Pickard, a niece and nephew, Robin Moulton and Robert Pickard Jr. and her special cousin, Betty Morningstar. The family would like to thank Colonial Villa and Hometown Home Health and Hospice for their loving Care of Norma. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017at the W. L. Case Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw St., Merrill, Michigan. The Rev. Richard Gossett will officiate with burial in Lakefield Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case Chapel in Merrill on Wednesday from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
