Oraldean Polaski
Saginaw Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on April 22, 2020, at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab, age 98 years. Oraldean was born in Bay City, MI on April 10, 1922 to the late Oral and Violet Hetherington. She married Stanley W. Polaski on March 23, 1946 and he predeceased her on December 25, 1975. Oraldean worked for many years as part of the janitorial staff at the Temple Theater and in housekeeping at St. Lukes Hospital (Covenant Cooper) until her retirement. She loved spending time working in her yard and spending time swinging on her porch swing, chatting with her neighbors. Her porch was the central gathering place of the neighborhood. Oraldean loved reading and doing word search puzzles. She was an animal lover and always had a pet. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving Oraldean are three children: Vickie (Polaski) Roy of Saginaw, Kevin Polaski of Saginaw, and Karen (Randy) LeTourneau of Saginaw. Seven grandchildren: Michelle (Anthony) Graham, Scott LeTourneau, Amber (Eric) Demers, Matthew (Rachel) Roy, Ryan (Jessica) Polaski, Jerrin Polaski and Logan Polaski. Five great-grandchildren; Ava and Ella Graham, Caleb Demers, Grace Roy and Carson Polaski. Her sister-in-law, Joann Hetherington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley and brothers John Hetherington and Oral Hetherington Jr.
The family would like to thank the entire wonderful staff at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre for the loving care that they gave our Mom. Also thank you to Mom's team at VNA Hospice who helped us through a very difficult time.
Due to the worldwide pandemic, a private funeral service will be held for immediate family with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saginaw County Animal Control.
