Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2019, at her home with her husband by her side. She was 62 years old. Pamela Mary Brownlee was born on October 5, 1956 in Bay City to the late Glenn and Rita (Hadd) Brownlee. She was a proud 1974 graduate of Bay City Handy High School. Following graduation, Pam attended Central Michigan University where she received her Bachelors Degree in Special Education, and later a Masters in Education. She married Frederick Joseph Nicastro, Jr. on April 24, 2003 at Calvary Community Church in Bridgeport; he survives her. Pam was employed for 33 years and her last 22 years with the Bridgeport Spaulding School District as a special education teacher. In June 1995, Pam was nominated by her students and received the prestigious Crystal Apple Award from The Saginaw News. She was a faithful member of Calvary Community Church. Pam enjoyed colleting Noahs Ark figurines and artifacts, porcelain dolls, and TY Stuffed animals. She also enjoyed feeding her goldfish in her pond, playing Bingo and going to the casino. Above all, Pam loved her family and her students.
Surviving are her husband of 17 years, Frederick J. Nicastro, Jr. of Sanford; eight daughters: Cheryl (Michael) Martin; Analisa (Thomas M.D.) Charlton; BillieJo Nicastro; Kariann (Chris) Cunningham; Nicole Mackie; Kadia (Louis) Szenay; Tanya (Alex) Stoekert; and Danielle Mackie; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Susan (Harvey) Kernstock; and Cindy (John) Langholz. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Trudy Ann Brownlee; and a step-mother, Lila Brownlee.
A Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2019, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. Pastor Ron Frederick will officiate. Honoring Pams wishes cremation will follow the service. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
