Pastor Salvador M. Flores Jr.

Flores, Pastor Salvador M. Jr. Carrollton Township, Michigan Beloved Pastor joined his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the age of 70 years. He was born September 17, 1947, in Saginaw, the son of the late Maria (Espinoza) and Salvador "Sam" Martinez Flores Sr. He graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1965. He graduated frpm the Latin American Bible Institute and later received his Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He married Alicia Santos on July 22, 1978. Together, they served at the Canaan Assembly of God in Omaha, Nebraska, before moving back to Saginaw, where they served at Teen Challenge of Saginaw. Pastor served as the Executive Director for the past 37 years until they retired on October 19, 2017. He was a member of Saginaw First (First Assembly of God, Saginaw). He and his wife enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Israel. He also enjoyed riding his bike and running. Surviving are his wife, Alicia Flores; one son and two daughters, Jason Flores, Yvonne Flores, and Stacey Flores; one grandson, JayVonne Flores; two sisters and one brother, Josie Flores, Acension "Chan" (Irene) Flores, and Olivia Flores; two nieces, Olivia R. Flores and Romanna Flores-Jahnsen; a grand-nephew, Gabriel Jahnsen; also many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and other relatives He was predeceased by a brother, Rodolfo Flores. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Saginaw First Assembly, 4570 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Kurt Cullison will officiate. Pastor Floress family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and then at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
