Gunther, Patricia E. Carrollton, Michigan Our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the age of 68 years. Patricia Ellen OConnor was born October 10, 1949, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Lillian (Reinbold) and Richard OConnor. She graduated from St. Stephen High School with the Class of 1967. She had been employed as a graphic artist with Verdoni Productions and various other companies. She had also been employed by Rite-Aid. She was a member of the Catholic Faith and had been a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church. Her "Sis" Joy said this about Pat: "Every time I think of your mom, I think of her hands. They are talented and soothing, loving and patient. I think of all the ornaments, soaps, and other crafts she did for all of us, with so much love. I think of her trying recipes and cleaning, chopping, seasoning, all with careful hands and love. It seems to me her hands were never still, always doing something or expressing feelings. Or patting you - just because." She especially loved time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Joel Gunther, Krista (Jason) Wobio, and Stephanie (John) Giltrop; her grandchildren: Justin, Johnathan, Breanna, Cooper, Brett, Nathan, Nicholas Philip, and Jacob; her great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Dylan and Annabelle; her sister, Leanne LeRoux; several nieces, nephews and their families; many other relatives and dear friends, including her dear friend, Sarah Wolf, and special family friend, Rachel Curtis. Patricia was predeceased by her best friend and the love of her life, Philip J. Gunther. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of service. Sr. Christine Gretka, CSJ, will officiate.
