Patricia Godwin Reinbold

Patricia Godwin Reinbold Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence, after a brief illness. Age 96 years. Patricia May Godwin was born February 27, 1920, in Abertillary, South Wales, the eighth child born to the late Mary Jane (Jones) and George Godwin. She came to the United States with her family on October 29, 1929, the day of the Great Crash. She married Frederick William Reinbold Jr., July 22, 1944; he predeceased her on December 9, 2008, after 64 years of marriage. Pat worked in the family business, Godwin's Furniture on State Street, until retiring after over 30 years of service. She was a devoted Christian and had been a member of First Baptist Church of Saginaw. She and her husband were members of the Bay City Yacht Club. They were avid supporters of the arts, being season ticket holders to Pit and Balcony, the Midland Center for the Arts and the Saginaw Choral Society. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Koepke and her friend , Mark Stinson, Saginaw; five step-grandchildren, William, Marta, Ann, Karen and Paul Koepke, and their families; many nieces and nephews and their families in the Godwin and Reinbold families. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, William S. Koepke; six brothers and their wives, Gethin and Florence Godwin, Benjamin and Blodwen Godwin, Harold and Eluned Godwin, George and Mildred Godwin, Jack and May Godwin, William and Mary Godwin, and by her sister, Minnie Godwin. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service. Rev. Rick Cunningham will officiate. Private committal will take place in Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum.
