Greenwald, Patricia Bentley, Michigan Formerly of Frankenmuth
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Brians House on Wednesday January 8, 2020, at the age of 83 years. Patricia was born December 8, 1936 to the late William and Dorothy (Warner) Rivett in Saginaw. She attended Saginaw High School. Patricia later married the love of her life and best friend, Gerald "Jerry" Greenwald on April 10, 1954 in Saginaw. The two shared 65 wonderful years together.
She was a woman of many talents. Patricia loved to garden, do arts and crafts and ceramics. She was also a skilled bowler. Her hobbies included going to the casino, playing bingo, having card parties, and boating. Patricia was an avid baker; she especially loved the Christmas season. During Christmas she would bake cookies for everyone. Most of all she was devoted to her Christian faith and spending time with her loving family.
Surviving besides her husband Jerry are her two children Roxanne (Jan) Salgat, Gerald K. (Eileen Christmas) Greenwald and her son in law Barry Shafer. She is also survived by her granddaughter Jessica Ann Greenwald, her sister Sandra Schnieder and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by daughter Deborah Shafer and her siblings Calvin Rivett, Jerry Rivett, Robert Rivett and Diane Smith.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday January 13, 2020 at Hopevale Church, 4873 North Center Road, Saginaw. Pastor Dan Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday January 12, 2020 at W.L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and from 10:00 am until the time of the service at church on Monday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Lung Association or Hopevale Church.
