Patricia Joann Murawski (Blubaugh)

Bay City, Michigan

A cherished member of her community and devoted family matriarch, Patricia passed away on October 14, 2024, in Bay City, Michigan. Born on May 7, 1934, in Midland, to the late Raymond and Pauline Blubaugh, Patricia lived a life rich in love and service, leaving behind a profound legacy to her family and friends. She married the love of her life, Joseph Murawski, Jr. on June 1, 1957.

For over 25 years, Patricia dedicated her career as a librarian at Hughes School in Essexville, where she inspired countless young minds and fostered a love for reading. Her commitment to education extended beyond her professional role; she was an active leader within her community, serving as the President of the Saint Stanislaus Ladies Athletic Club and as a Girl Scout Leader for the Mitten Bay Girl Scout Council. Her influence was felt widely, as she embodied kindness and thoughtfulness throughout her life. Patricia was known for her loving and welcoming personality, always making time for her family and friends. She delighted in creating beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren, cultivating an atmosphere of warmth and creativity in her home. Her leisure time was filled with joyful moments spent attending school events, visiting the zoo, enjoying books, and attending plays, reflecting her zest for life and connection with those she loved.

Patricia is survived by her daughters Michelle Murawski, Melinda Murawski, and Amy (Chris) Jankowski. She was a beloved grandmother to Alex Trisch, Amber Trisch, Zackery Kushion, and Megan (Jason Duron) Kushion, and she cherished her many great-grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by her sisters Peg Siebert and Carol Siefker, as well as her sister-in-law Jean Blubaugh, all of whom will carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of nearly 60 years, and siblings: John (Liz) Blubaugh, Robert (Mary) Blubaugh, Gerald Blubaugh, and Betty (Tom) Spiker. She also joins her in-laws, Larry Siefker, and Ray Siebert in eternal rest.

Per Patricia's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw.
