Patricia Pearl Hensler

Passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the Red Oak Adult Foster Care home, Bay City, Michigan. Age 92 years.
The daughter of the late Zetta (Keilor) and Albert Waara was born June 13, 1928 in Flint, Michigan. She married Elmer George Hensler, June 26, 1954. He passed away May 6, 2016. Patricia received her Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. She taught Math at Swan Valley Public Schools for many years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Pat enjoyed
drawing, playing the piano, reading mysteries, doing crossword puzzles, math, Latin and history.
She is survived by three daughters, three sons and their spouses, Marilyn and Mark Newsted; Jeanine Mong; William and Jeanette Hensler, Alice Stech; Edward and Sarah Hensler; Norman Hensler; fifteen grandchildren and their spouses, Joshua and Laura Newsted; Matthew and Emily Newsted; Daniel and Katie Newsted; Mackenzie, Connor and Monica Mong; Jonathan, Tobias, William, Jakob and Peter Hensler; Kelly and Ryan Habbley; Mitchell Stech; Faye and Richard DeMarco; Graham and Emmet Hensler; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer, a son-in-law, Daniel Mong, and a brother and two sisters, Norman Waara, Joyce Ballard and Jeanine Mennear.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Erik Schmidt will officiate with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may visit at the chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
