Patricia “Pat” M. Eckart
The Brook of Gladwin, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Schnepp Senior Care and Rehab Center; at the age of 91 years.
The daughter of the late Stephen and Geraldine (Miner) Connor, Pat was born on April 3, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. She achieved a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Pat retired in 1989 from Saginaw General Hospital after many years of dedicated and loyal service. She was a long-time member of St. Dominic Parish, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Pat was also a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the Tri-City Traveler’s Riding Club. She rode throughout the United States, visiting 48 states, and Canada. Above all, Pat cherished the time spent with her loving family.
Surviving are two daughters, four sons and their spouses: Jean (Collison) and Marc Bushman; Mike and Anita Collison; Greg and Gillian Collison; Tom and Jan Collison; Donna (Collison) and Gary Gareiss; Kevin and Barb Collison; one daughter-in-law: Mary Collison; five step-children and their spouses: Patricia Eckart and her partner Jan Kokas; Dwyne and Cheryl Eckart; Matthew Eckart; Lenora (Eckart) and Gary Bosserdet; Ellington “Duke” and Karla Eckart; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a sister: Helen (Earl) Boyea. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Besides her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband: Donald M. Collison; husband: Dwyne W. Eckart; a son: William Collison; two brothers: Stephen Connor and Peter Connor.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Dominic Parish, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Ave, Saginaw. Patricia’s God-Son: The Most Rev. Earl Boyea, Bishop of Lansing will officiate with Rite of Committal to follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until the time of mass at church. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity in limited, face coverings are required and social distancing is encouraged. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Alzheimer’s Association.
