Wurtzel, Patricia T. Freeland, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away early Friday, October 10, 2014, at St. Mary's of Michigan. Age 87 years. Patricia T. O'Toole was born at home in Merrill on August 23, 1927, the daughter of the late Mary (Phalen) and Phillip A. O'Toole. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Merrill. She married Ray Joseph "Joe" Wurtzel on October 13, 1951; he predeceased her November 5, 1997. She was a devout Catholic. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and was actively involved in various other religious organizations, including the Shrine of St. Jude and the Shrine of Infant of Prague. She faithfully prayed the Rosary several times daily. She was a great cook, known for her Sunday dinners and other family gatherings. She especially loved shopping with her twin sister, Betty. Surviving are two sons, four daughters, their spouses and families: Tim and Debbie Wurtzel and sons Kyle (Julia), Jared (Cassie) and Cody, all of Indiana; Diane and Steve Rambow and children Aaron (fiance Sara Muszynski) and Aleece, Saginaw; Chuck and Carla Wurtzel and their son Bradley, Freeland; Sandy and Dwight Kreager and daughters Elizabeth and Cecily Anne, Freeland; Judy and Tom Zolinski and children, Jeromy and Erikah, Freeland; and her baby girl, Mary and Jeff Langley, and their son Joey, Freeland; her brother, Robert O'Toole, and her sister, Sr. Marie Benedict, O'Toole, O.P.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Murin; brother-in-law and his wife, Phil and Cathy Wurtzel; many nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two grandchildren, Joel and Bethany Wurtzel, and by her brothers and sisters, Dominic O'Toole; Sr. Marie O'Toole; Fr. Aloysius O'Toole; Elizabeth Beyer; Dorothy Rousseau, Grace Dean and William O'Toole. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with entombment in Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Freeland. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, where a parish vigil service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Family and friends may then gather at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
