Paul Howard Lemmen of Saginaw, Michigan formerly of Seminole, Florida Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away unexpected on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at St. Francis Home of Saginaw with his wife by his side. He was 63 years old. Paul Howard Lemmen was born on July 13, 1955 in St. Clair City, Michigan to the late Reese Norman and Alice Mary (Alexander) Lemmen. He graduated from high school in 1973 and immediately became a Franciscan Monk. In January 1974, Paul was inducted into the United States Air Force. He married Barbara Frances Kerr on December 23, 1997 in Redondo Beach, California; she survives him. Paul holds a Bachelors degree in Theology and was a deacon and eventually became an ordained priest within the Palestinian Greek Catholic Orthodox Church. He was a smart and intellectual man, gifted at using computers. Paul had an excellent sense of humor and was a self-taught gourmet chef. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Barbara Francis Lemmen of Saginaw; two step-daughters, Heather Pridgeon of Florida and Denise (James) Marx of Florida; one grandson; four granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; four sisters; a brother; a mother-in-law, Betty Kerr of Florida; and two great friends and caretakers. He was preceded in death by an infant sister and a father-in-law, John Kerr. Burial and military honors will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road in Holly, Michigan under the auspices of the United States Air Force.
