Beloved husband, father, and grandfather was called home to be with his Lord, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at his home, with his family at his side; at the age of 74 years.
The son of the late Armin H. and Eleanor W. (Reuschel) Schultz, Paul was born on July 16, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan. His Baptism took place on August 14, 1949, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Paul’s Confirmation took place on April 7, 1963, also at the church. He graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary with the class of 1967. Paul proudly served in the United States Air Force until he was Honorably Discharged. He married Joyce E. Fuhrmann on April 20, 1974; she survives him. Paul worked for the Streets Department for the City of Saginaw for many years of loyal and dedicated service. He was a life-long member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he enjoyed volunteering. Paul had also spent his time helping with various activities at Michigan Lutheran Seminary.
Surviving besides his wife: Joyce E. Schultz; are their two sons and daughter: Jonathan Schultz, David Schultz, Joanne (Gabe) Fall; grandson: Collin Fall; sister: Linda (Armin) Schwartz. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: John Schultz, Kathryn Pinchoff, Margaret Bents, Barbara Harris, Richard Schultz.
Honoring Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1201 Court Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Rev. David Naumann will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
