Paul Strasel Merrill, Michigan Passed away Monday August 26, 2019 at the age of 64 years. Paul was born January 28, 1955, the son of Ada (Shepherd) Strasel and the late Alan Strasel. He was a member of St John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He served with the U.S. Army. Paul was an avid outdoorsman who was a lifelong member of the National and Michigan Trappers Associations. He was self-employed as a trapper and farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved playing the banjo. He was a kind hearted person who was passionate about his family. Paul will be remembered for his brilliant smile and affectionate laughter. Surviving besides his mother Ada, are his siblings; James Strasel, Nancy (John) Drummond, Steven Strasel, Lee Strasel, Lisa (Paul) Muller; his brother-in-law, David Nobles and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and special friends. Paul was also predeceased by one sister, two brothers; Jeanette (Strasel) Nobles, John Strasel and Dean Strasel and a sister-in-law, Amy Strasel. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019, at St John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Merrill. Rev. Thai Nguen will officiate with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. John XXIII Parish.
