Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. At the age of 81 years.
The son of the late Matilda and Candeleria (Pichardo) Rodarte, Pedro was born on May 4, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan. Pedro married Sulema Garcia on August 26, 1967; she survives him. He was a combustion engineer at General Motors for many years of loyal and dedicated service. Pedro also worked seasonally, as he loved hauling sugar beets with his family at Michigan Sugar, Saginaw, Michigan. He enjoyed going to the casino, taking trips to Texas with family and shopping in Mexico. Above all, Pedro cherished the time spent with his family.
Surviving besides his wife of 53 years, Sulema; are three sons and one daughter: Antonio Rodarte; David Rodarte; Reuben Roadarte; Julia (Jeff) Rogalski; three grandchildren: Mia Kiana Rodarte; Antonio Rodarte; Alex Rodarte; and one sister: Rosa Rodarte. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Calvary Community Church, 2895 E. Moore Road, Saginaw. Rev. Ted Doolittle will officiate with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw; and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged.
