Peggy Ann Kniat

Peggy Ann Kniat of Bridgeport, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend went home on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, following a brief illness. Peggy Ann Long was 78 years old, born on September 7, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Clell P. and Dorothy E. (Robison) Long. She was married to David F. Jestis; he preceded her in death on June 21, 1980. Peggy later married John Kniat on August 27, 1984, in Bridgeport; he preceded her in death on March 16, 2016. She was a member of Prayer Room Ministries and Christ Deliverance Center and prayed often for everyone. Peggy enjoyed sewing and quilting, especially with John. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and prayer warrior. Peggy was truly the definition of loving-kindness, compassion, and generosity. Surviving are two sons: Kevin (Veronica) Jestis of Frankenmuth; Andrew Jestis of Saginaw; three grandchildren: Todd Jestis, Autumn Jestis, and Eric Jestis all of Frankenmuth; a brother Richard (Arlene) Long of GA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Don Long; sister, Barbara Joseph. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019, at Christ Deliverance Center, 5584 Dixie Hwy. Her son Kevin Jestis will officiate with Pastor Darrin Nichols and Pastor Roy Bishop. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Kevin or Andrew Jestis.
