Skeltis, Phyllis Burt, Michigan Jesus called Phyllis home on Saturday, August 9, 2014. Age 90 years. Phyllis Walat was born October 25, 1923, in Flint, and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Pablo) Walat. She lived in the Saginaw area for most of her life and married Anthony Skeltis on January 12, 1946; he predeceased her December 10, 1975. For many years, Phyllis was a member of St. George and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Churches. She was currently a member of Hopevale Church. Phyllis loved time spent with her family, especially holidays, and traveling to visit distant family. She enjoyed many crafts, including cake decorating, sewing, crocheting and quilting. Phyllis loved other activities such as listening to music, singing, reading, gardening, bowling and playing Bingo, cards, and Dominos. She also enjoyed social activities including square dancing and polka dancing, going to the Senior Center, senior trips, sight-seeing, watching movies, and going out to dinner. She also loved attending church. She is survived by three sons, one daughter, and three daughters-in-law, Michael and Joan Skeltis, Burt, Michigan; Gerald and Peggy Skeltis, Clarksville, Michigan; Patricia Andres, Troy, Michigan; Anthony and Kati Skeltis, Seattle, Washington; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and their families. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Dolores Skeltis-Reid, a son-in-law, Richard Andres, a grandson, Raymond Andres, and five siblings. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where Phyllis's family will receive friends from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and then from 12:00 noon on Wednesday until the time of service. Rev.
