Efu, Ralph D. Cross City, Florida and Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at Covenant Harrison, after a lengthy illness. Age 68 years. He was born March 1, 1945, in Saginaw, the son of the late Phelia (Keller) and Leslie Efu. He had been employed by General Motors, working at Nodular and Grey Iron Foundries until retiring in November of 2001 after 44 years of service. He married Eileen Dudewicz on August 1, 1964, and they celebrated 49 years of marriage this past August. They made their home in Florida the past 13 years. Ralph was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, in Saginaw and in Florida. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing and other sports. Surviving are his wife, Eileen; one daughter, Karen Porath and Andy Peil; two grandsons, Corey Porath and Daniel Fiting; two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson, Natalie, Makenna and Chance; two sisters, two brothers, and their spouses, Margaret and Roy Smewing, Janet and Duaine Metevia, Donald and Sally Efu, and Eugene Efu; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Ken Jolin; many nieces, nephews and their families; his aunt and uncle, Delores and Floyd Lepczyk. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers and one sister, Harold "Red" Efu, Leslie "Buzz" Efu, Theresa Tripple, and Paul Efu. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
