Ralph Edward Braley Thomas Township, Michigan Our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017, at his home, at the age of 88 years. Ralph was born in Thomas Township, Michigan on October 15, 1928, the son of the late Harold and Derma (Matteson) Braley. He married Ila Rohde on October 16, 1948. She predeceased him on July 6, 2013. Ralph was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock and a member of the Men's club as Past President and Chair of their annual Fish Fry. He was one of the first employees of Hemlock Semi-Conductor and retired after 30 years of service. He had served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, camping with Ila and their friends, cutting firewood, and working in the garden. Ralph is survived by three children, Wayne Braley; Gary (Gail) Braley; Cheryl Braley; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Lyla Meinecke; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Ruth Braley and a brother-in-law, Charles Meinecke. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock, MI. Rev. Richard E. Mundt will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and then on Thursday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
