Ralph Carl “R.C.” Oppermann Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Winter Village of Frankenmuth. He was 74 years old. R.C. Oppermann was born on April 30, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Ralph Carl and Katherine (Beach) Oppermann. He was a 1964 graduate of St. Mary High School. Following graduation, R.C. attended Ferris State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. He was employed as a Troubleshooter for automotive dealerships throughout the State of Michigan. He enjoyed listening to music as well as building model airplanes. R.C. also had an engineer’s mind, intricately working with tools over the years.

Surviving are two sons: Ralph C. (Cari) Oppermann III of Grayling; Peter (Kelly) Oppermann of Gaylord; four grandchildren: Megan Oppermann, Nicole Oppermann, Rachel Oppermann, and Spencer Oppermann; two sisters and one brother: Sue McNally of Flushing; Kathy Crawford of Farmington; David (Gretchen) Oppermann of Farmington. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Tom McNally and Jack Crawford.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Pastoral Minister Sharon Wahl will officiate. Entombment will follow at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 people, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged.
