Ramona "Mima" Garibay

Garibay, Ramona "Mima" Hemlock, MI Passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at University of Michigan Hospital at the age of 76 years. Ramona was born January 14, 1937, in San Benito, TX the daughter of the late Guadalupe and Trinidad (Edgar) Gonzalez. She married Ray Garibay on January 15, 1954, he survives her. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Her true devotion was her family. Mona's loving caring nature was felt by everyone that knew her. She will be missed by her husband Ray; children, Rosalva (Edward) Ortega, Sylvia (David) Hernandez Sr., Elizabeth (David) Sawyer, and Ramon (Bernadette) Garibay; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Luz Gonzalez, Pablo Castillo, and Ruth Durocher; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Leonard Gonzalez and Rachel Rodriguez. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington. Fr. Thomas Schmied will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. where the family will gather at 7:00 p.m. for a prayer service. Friends may also visit with the family at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
