Randall Joseph Hagerty Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Luther Manor. Age 72 years. The son of the late Vivian (Allore) and Larry Hagerty was born March 2, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Linda Petoskey, June 8, 1968. She survives him. Randy graduated from St. Andrew's High School and served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone, retiring with 25 years of service. He was of the Catholic faith and active with the Zilwaukee area Cub Scout Troop # 3377 and Boy Scout Troop #377 where he had served as Scout Master. He enjoyed spending time "up north" in Northern Michigan, fishing with his brothers, and watching his granddaughter play soccer. Surviving besides his wife, Linda, are a son and a daughter, Shawn Hagerty; Colleen Tennant and her husband, Allan; seven grandchildren, Allison Foley and her husband, Joseph; Patrick Sweeney; Abigail Tennant; Jarrett Hagerty; Shawn and Nickolas Hair; A.J. Tennant; two great grandchildren, Skylar Foley and Austin Hair; two brothers, three sisters and their spouses, Larry Hagerty; Brian and Deb Hagerty; Joyce and Stan Schultz; Sally and Jim Macomber; Kathy and Dennis Mielke; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his granddaughter, Taylor Rose Hagerty and a brother, Michael Hagerty. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Saginaw. His brother-in-law, Jim Macomber will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the memorial service.
