Bauer, Rebecca L. "Becky" Zilwaukee, Michigan Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away suddenly Friday, November 27, 2015, at home, at the age of 72 years. Rebecca L. Smith was born June 20, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of the late Albert and Colleen (McAran) Smith. She married Keith M. Bauer on February 11, 1972; he predeceased her January 23, 2015. She retired from H&R Block after many years of service. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Zilwaukee, and its Ladies Aid Society. Surviving are her children, Kim (Wayne) McLean, Bridgeport; Craig Bauer, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Jorry (Ashlee), Alyssa and Chelsea Bauer, all of Round Rock, Texas; Joseph Parks and Sarah McLean, both of Bridgeport; two sisters and two brothers, Roberta (John) Slater, Williamston, Michigan; Brenda Zaman, Houston, Texas; William (Mary) Smith, Rhodes, Michigan; Thomas (Suzanne) Smith, St. Peters, Missouri; many special nieces, nephews, and their families. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, William Bauer. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at St. John Lutheran Church, 318 S. Franklin, Zilwaukee. Pastor Marcus Manthey will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 3:00 7:00 p.m. on Monday, and then at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. John Lutheran Church, Zilwaukee.
