Rebecca "Becky" L. Green

Rebecca “Becky” L. Green of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved friend, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully with her friend by her side on Monday, January 25, 2021, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison. She was 57 years old. Rebecca L. Ray was born on August 29, 1963, in Lapeer, Michigan, to the late Frederick L. and Delauras D. (Welch) Ray. Becky was a proud graduate of Imlay City High School. She was employed as a cook with both the City Rescue Mission and Community Village in Saginaw. Becky was a faithful and dedicated member of Calvary Community Church. She found peace, tranquility and solace connecting to nature, especially while fishing. Becky was a marvelous cook, knowing exactly how many cups of love, pinches of care, and dashes of kindness were needed to make a meal feel whole. She had an affinity toward all animals, especially her beloved dog, Minnie and cat, Samantha. Becky was kind, gentle and had the innate ability to connect with all people. She will forever be remembered for her selflessness, service to other people, and for living life as a butterfly creating poetry in any situation.

Surviving are a special friend, Robin Tyndall of Saginaw and her son, Joshua Tyndall; two cousins, Cindy (Dave) Nutts of Lapeer and their children: Audrey and John Nutts; Wendy (Kevin) Kmiotek of Lapeer; brother, Frederick Ray of Mayville; uncle, David (Janice) Smith of Grayling; three nieces: Michelle (Martin) Diaz of Mayville; Christina (Jim) Short of Otisville; Starr (Melissa) Ray of Burton. Also surviving are many great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Ray; aunt, Teresa Smith.

Honoring Becky’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Calvary Community Church in Bridgeport.
