Remedios Torrez (Reme) Saginaw, Michigan Remedios went home to be with our Lord on Monday, January 30, 2017, age 90 years. She was born on September 1, 1926, daughter of the late Jose and Juana (Medina) Hernandez, in Taylor, TX. Reme married Manuel Torrez, Sr. on September 9, 1945, he predeceased her on December 16, 1999. She enjoyed being outdoors, planting flowers in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter. She is survived by her son, Arturo (Elvia) Torrez, her daughter, Yolanda Torrez, her daughter-in-law, Marge Torrez, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, her brother, Victor (Elodia) Hernandez and her very special friend, Mary Hernandez. She was predeceased by her sons, Manuel Torrez, Jr and Mario Torrez. Everyone who knew mom loved and adored her. Our precious mom will be truly missed. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, 2400 King Road. Pastor R. B. Ouellette will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
