Rhonda R. (Nettleton) Averill

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Rhonda R. Averill (Nettleton) age 57, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Rhonda was born on March 30, 1961 to the late Patricia Smith and Lavern Averill. She is survived by her ex-husband, Wayne Nettleton and their daughters, Judy (Chris) Sausedo, Jami (Mike) Nettleton, and Jennifer Deshone and grandchildren, Chianne, Julia and Christopher. Also surviving Rhonda is her boyfriend of many years, Bill Nettleton, and her sister, Vicky West. Rhonda was a compassionate person, and as most people knew, she was a person whose door was always open when you needed someone to talk to. She had very special relationships with many family members, but especially her Aunt Dottie Jacklyn, her niece, Nicole Morningstar and nephew, Sean Nettleton. There are many more nieces and nephews not named that will also say that Rhonda was special to them as well. Rhonda enjoyed many things in life including playing cards, Bingo, watching the Red Wings play, and listening to Motown music to name a few. Being the wonderful mother and grandmother she was, Rhonda mostly enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and would spend every Christmas and spring break visiting with them for a week or more at a time. At the wishes of Rhonda, a Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Doug Mater will officiate. Honoring Rhondas wishes cremation will follow the service. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
