Richard Allen Christensen

Richard Allen Christensen Cape Coral, Florida formerly of Saginaw and Ionia Died Tuesday January 31, 2017 at his home at the age of 86 years. He was born in Montcalm, MI in 1930 to the late Raymond and Lelah Christensen. Richard served his country honorably with the US Airforce from 1948 to 1954. He lived in Michigan for many years. He retired from the Laundry and Dry Cleaning business in 1992 and began spending his winters in Cape Coral. He was a member of Hunters Run Golf Club in Cape Coral for the past 25 years. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Marilynn, eight children; Leanne Christensen, Rex Christensen, Kay (John) Hudgins, Diane Forrester, Linda (James) Oldaker, Raymond (Lindy) Forrester, Carl Forrester, and Dawn (Scott) McGennis, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Road. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice.
