Kelley, Richard E., Ph.D. Saginaw, MI Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2013, at the age of 84. Richard was born February 17, 1929, in Nelsonville, OH to the late Clarence and Eleanor (Whitlatch) Kelley. He married Billie June Foughty on May 20, 1950; she survives him. He served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne from 1953-1955. He graduated from Ohio State University with a PhD in School Administration. He retired as Assistant Superintendent from the Saginaw Public Schools. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Elks Lodge, the Masons, and American Legion Post #439 where he served as an officer. He was a Shriner and made frequent trips to the Shrine Hospital as a driver. He loved his wife, family and traveling. Besides his wife of 63 years Billie he is survived by his children, John Kelley and Pamela (Robert) Bethune; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson; son-in-law, Duke Yost and daughter-in-law, Jane Kelley; and sister, Ruth North. He was predeceased by his children, Claire Yost and Patrick Kelley; brother, John "Jack" (Eloise) Kelley; and brother-in-law Joe North. A memorial visitation will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at American Legion Post #439 at 5190 Weiss.There will be a Masonic service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital. www.casefuneralhome.com
