Bouliew, Richard Gene Hemlock, Michigan Passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Cartwright Care Center at the age of 76 years. The son of the late Eugene Bouliew and Betty (Thomas) Kenel was born on April 28, 1937 in Saginaw. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Judith Ann Schroeder on December 22, 1960; she predeceased him on November 27, 2010. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear. He also worked as a volunteer fire-fighter for Richland and Thomas Township for a combined 49 years retiring as the Assistant Chief of Richland Township. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hemlock. He was also member of the Eagle Post 497. Richard enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. Surviving are his children; James (Carrolle) Bouliew, of Saginaw, Penny (Chuck) Thomas, of Ocala, FL., Dave (Jessica) Bouliew of Hemlock, Kelly (Mike) Morse, of Hemlock; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a sister Shirley Walters, special friends Kelly and Gary Little, Karl and Joyce Roth, Charlie Butzin, and Jack Riever and many nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Sadie. He was predeceased by son, William Bouliew, a step-father Herbert Kenel, his brother Gary Kenel. Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N Raucholz Rd. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris will officiate with military burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of V.F.W. Post 7302 Hemlock/Merrill. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. on Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday 2:00-9:00 p.m. and Thursday at church from10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
