Went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2019. He was 67 years old. Richard was born on October 8, 1951 in Rochester, MI, to the late Walter Joseph and Virginia (LaRivers) Hrymecki. He attended the Walled Lake School System. He joined the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Vietnam Vet. Richard loved the military life so much that he went on to join the Army Reserve where he worked as a mechanic on tanks and trucks. He was honorably discharged from the reserve as a civilian, after serving 27 years in the military. Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a good person to everyone, very kind and generous, and would give anyone the shirt off his back, even a stranger.
Richard is survived by four children, Rebecca (Greg) Jones, Kendra (Reggie) Hrymecki, Zachariah (Maggie) Hrymecki, and Sophia Rose (Brandon) Hrymecki; five grandchildren, Keara, Porcsha, Adriana, JJ, and Laylyn; two sisters, Sandra Wickstrom, and Mary Navarro; a brother, Raymond Hrymecki; many deeply loved nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Ellen Hrymecki. He is predeceased by a sister, Pam Frieburger; his Aunt Sophie and Uncle Frank.
Funeral liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at St. John XXIII Parish Sacred Heart Church, 445 S. Midland St. Merrill, MI. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Toys for Tots.
