Weiler, Richard J. St. Charles, Michigan Passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Covenant Harrison. Age 69 years. He was born July 25, 1944, in Mayville, Michigan, the son of the late Henry and Dorothy Weiler. He graduated from Mayville High School and then served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Dona M. Jacobs on November 26, 1966; she survives him. He retired from Saginaw General Hospital (now Covenant Harrison) after 41 years of service. He enjoyed going to garage sales and traveling with his buddy, Billy Rousseau. Surviving are his wife Dona and their beloved dogs, Charlie and Rufus. He also leaves a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and George Proctor, Millington; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Gene Roberson, Midland; five nephews, three nieces, and their families; an aunt, Lyla Wyman, Alpena. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Voorheis and Joyce Lewicki, and by one nephew. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw Street, Merrill, where his family will receive friends from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and then on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Fremont Township Cemetery, with military honors under the auspices of the Hemlock Merrill VFW Post #7302.
