Richard "Rich" Wayne Keller of Freeland, Michigan
Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was 58 years old. Richard Wayne Keller was born on June 16, 1965, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ronald and Susan (Schmidt) Keller. Over the years, Rich held various roles within the construction industry. The role of his lifetime, one he treasured and cherished above all others, was being a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, great-grandfather. His children were the light of his life and greatest joy. An avid football fan, Rich would always cheer for his favorite teams, the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan. He also enjoyed playing fantasy football, as well as watching WWE wrestling, especially WrestleMania. Throughout his life, Rich collected various comic books and was a coin collector as well. Rich loved to barbecue, especially at his home, because it brought family and friends together to have a good time. His little piece of heaven was going up north fishing, but he also enjoyed fishing locally with his children and grandchildren. Although he could be stubborn and tough, he will forever be remembered as a loving and caring father and grandfather, for always having a good time and being fun, and for truly living and amazing life filled with many memories and stories.
Surviving are two children: Bonnie Green of Saginaw; Richard Keller Jr. of Saginaw; four grandchildren: Gage and Chase Wilson of Saginaw; Aryanna and Olivia Keller of Saginaw; two great-grandchildren: AuBriana and Alena Wilson of Saginaw; parents, Ron and Jane Keller of Standish; a brother and three sisters: Mike (Penny) Keller of Saginaw; Tara (Lee) Garcia of FL; Tracy (Rick) Shreve of Standish; Tammy (Craig) Warren of Standish. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, a special friend, Randy Smith, as well as many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Susan and Jessie Sanchez.
Honoring Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Rich's life will take place at a later date.
