Richard L. Goodrow Sr.

Richard L. Goodrow Sr. Carrollton, Michigan Devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away suddenly on September 12, 2018, at the age of 84 years. Richard was born November 4, 1933, in Saginaw to the late William and Arvilla (Johnson) Goodrow. He worked as a machinist for over 48 years in various locations. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and doing outdoor activities. He will be remembered by his loving family for his one-of-a-kind personality, big heart and blunt nature. Richard will always be appreciated by his family for being a good provider and making sure his family had everything they needed. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Rosemary (Gerl) Goodrow; children, Richard (Patricia) Goodrow Jr., James (Christine) Goodrow, Dan (Audrey) Goodrow, Thomas Goodrow, Julie Goodrow, John (Shelly) Goodrow and Jason (Wendolyn) Goodrow; grandchildren, Ryan and Jessica Goodrow, James (Kelley) Goodrow Jr., Jennifer (Mark) Mishler, Kayla (Matt) Stevens, Luke Goodrow, John (Jeanne) Goodrow Jr., Justin (Emily) Goodrow, Rachel, Jordan and Donovan Goodrow; 8 great-grandchildren; his sister Cheryl (Denny) Hutton; and many beloved extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald Goodrow Sr. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hoyt Nursing Home or to Covenant VNA Hospice.
