Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the age of 82. The son of the late Paul and Ellen (Dunn) Lyle, Richard was born on November 18, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a proud 1959 graduate of Saginaw High School. Richard met and married the love of his life, Carol Aldrich, on June 28, 1974. She predeceased him on March 20, 2013. He retired from GM in 1996 after 30 years of loyal and dedicated service. In his free time, Richard loved hunting, fishing, painting, and going to the Bridgeport Gun Club. He will be remembered as someone who was fun loving and easy going.

Surviving are his children: Kerri (Kris) Armstrong and Gerald (Kathy) Barnes; one sister: Joan Richards; four grand children: Joseph (Krystle) Armstrong, Kaylie Armstrong, Anthony Barnes, and Kylie Barnes; six great-grandchildren, and many more family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister, three sister-in-laws, and three brother-in-laws.

In accordance with Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is planned for a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Valley Hospice or Bridgeport Gun Club.
