Richard P. Butts Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved father and Masonic brother was reunited with his late wife on January 14, 2017. Richard was born June 28, 1928, in Saginaw to the late Guy and Viola (Staley) Butts. He married Darlene Burns on May 6, 1948; she predeceased him in 2006. He was a plumber out of Local 85 Plumbers/Steamfitters. He held supervisor/superintendent roles for most of his life. He was Head Quality Control Inspector for Holland Mechanical, in the construction of the "Yooper" Dome, at Northern Michigan University. He was Superintendent over the construction of the Caro Waste Water Treatment Plant and the Midland Water Filtration Plant. His fingerprints are on most of the piping in the Grey Iron Foundry. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the St. Charles Masonic Lodge. He loved auctions, was an avid hunter and volunteer at YMCA Camp Timbers. He will be missed by his children, Janet St. Onge and David (Brenda) Butts; siblings, Colleen Ittner, Warren Butts, and Judy (Ray) Schaubel; many nieces and nephews; and his dearly loved dog Ginger. He was predeceased by his siblings, Joan Keller and Larry Butts. Funeral service and Masonic service will take place at 11:00 a.m. January 18, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
