Richard "Dick" Forbes

Richard "Dick" Forbes Bridgeport, Michigan Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle passed away peacefully at Covenant Health Care on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the age of 86. Dick was born on January 4, 1933 to the late Raymond and Amelia (Federico) Forbes in Saginaw. He was a proud graduate of St. Andrews High School, class of 1952. Dick proudly served his country for two years in the United States Navy where he operated the submarines torpedo. He married the love of his life, Norma Crozier on September 4, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan. The two of them spent a lovely 65 years together. Dick retired from Grant Grocery Company where he served over 30 years as a truck driver. He had many hobbies, some of which included; hunting, fishing, and watching classic movies. Dick was an avid sports fan, he especially loved to watch the Patriots and the Detroit Red Wings. Most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Surviving him are his wife, Norma; three children Deborah (Robert) Nussear, David Forbes and Dennis (Roberta) Forbes. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bethany Royster and Richie Halas; and great-grandchildren, Autumn, Riley, Addison and Hunter Royster. Honoring Dicks wishes cremation has taken place, services have not been planned.
